The Rainbow Bridge
Your turn begins on The Rainbow Bridge.
Roll two dice for what you encounter while traversing the rainbow bridge:
2 = A heavenly female warrior with wings is stationed as a sentinel on this bridge of rainbow light. Fight a Magical Combat with a valkyrie angel. The valkyrie angel's attributes are Arms: 5, Magic: 6, Craft: 4, Vitae: 4. If you receive a Wound due to Combat with the valkyrie angel, receive 1 additional Wound if it is the first Combat the valkyrie angel has been in this turn. If the valkyrie angel has fallen due to Combat with you, gain an angel spear, unless your Alignment is Evil. An angel spear is an Item and a weapon. If you have the angel spear at the start of any Magical Combat with a monster, increase your Magic by 1 for that Magical Combat only if it is the first Combat you have been in that turn with that monster. If you have the angel spear and a monster receives a Wound due to Combat with you, the monster receives 1 additional Wound if it is the first Combat the monster has been in with you that turn.
3 = A master at surveying bridges and other travel ways offers his services to you. Pay 1 Gold to gain an outrider. An outrider is an Ally. If you have the outrider at the start of any turn on a page with the word 'Bridge', 'Path', or 'Lane' in it's name, increase your Arms and Magic by 1 for that turn only. You may not use more than 1 outrider at a time.
4 = A mysterious mage in a multicolored suit can teach you some versatile rainbow magic. If you choose, roll two dice. If the die roll is equal to or less than the total of your Arms plus your Craft, gain prismatic. Prismatic is a Spell. You may use prismatic at the start of any Melee Combat. When used, choose one of your attributes to increase by 1. The increase lasts until the monster in the Combat that prismatic was used at the start of has fallen or if you choose to end Combat with that monster. You may not use more than 1 prismatic per Combat.
5 = The most fearless among the vikings become berserkers capable of great destruction. Fight a Melee Combat with a bridge berserker. The bridge berserker's attributes are Arms: 4, Magic: 2, Craft: 2, Vitae: 3. At the start of any Melee Combat the bridge berserker is in, increase the bridge berserker's Arms by an amount equal to the number of Wounds the bridge berserker has for that Melee Combat only. If you receive a Wound due to a Melee Combat with the bridge berserker, and the bridge berserker has 1 or more Wounds, roll a die. if the die roll is equal to or less than the number of Wounds the bridge berserker has, you receive 1 additional Wound. If the bridge berserker receives a Wound due to Melee Combat with you, roll two dice. If the die roll is 11 or more, the bridge berserker does not receive the Wound.
6 = This rainbow bridge is guarded by nordic warriors wielding axes and wearing horned helmets. Fight a Melee Combat with a viking warrior. The viking warrior's attributes are Arms: 4, Magic: 2, Craft: 2, Vitae: 2. At the start of any Melee Combat the viking warrior is in, increase the viking warrior's Arms by an amount equal to the number of Wounds the viking warrior has for that Melee Combat only. If you receive a Wound due to a Melee Combat with the viking warrior, and the viking warrior has 1 or more Wounds, roll a die. if the die roll is equal to or less than the number of Wounds the viking warrior has, you receive 1 additional Wound. If the viking warrior receives a Wound due to Melee Combat with you, roll two dice. If the die roll is 11 or more, the viking warrior does not receive the Wound.
7 = This bridge of solid rainbow light stretches from the caverns below to the clouds above. If you choose, your turn ends and the next turn will begin in The Crystal Caverns; Proceed to that page if so.
8 = Creatures made of various colored lights magically emerge from this bridge of rainbow. Fight a Magical Combat with a color creature. The color creature's attributes are Arms: 2, Magic: 4, Craft: 2, Vitae: 2. Roll a die. If the die roll is 1 or 2, increase the color creature's Magic by 1. If the die roll is 3 or 4, increase the color creature's Craft by 1. If the die roll is 5 or 6, increase the color creature's Vitae by 1. If the color creature receives a Wound due to Combat with you, roll a die. If the die roll is equal to or less than the color creature's Craft, the color creature does not receive the Wound.
9 = A spectral being made of colorful light rises from out of the rainbow bridge and attacks. Fight a Magical Combat with a spectrum spectre. The spectrum spectre's attributes are Arms: 2, Magic: 5, Craft: 3, Vitae: 3. Roll a die. If the die roll is 1 or 2, increase the spectrum spectre's Magic by 1. If the die roll is 3 or 4, increase the spectrum spectre's Craft by 1. If the die roll is 5 or 6, increase the spectrum spectre's Vitae by 1. If the spectrum spectre receives a Wound due to Combat with you, roll a die. If the die roll is equal to or less than the spectrum spectre's Craft, the spectrum spectre does not receive the Wound.
10 = A fairy riding upon a small rainbow star tells you the incantation to a rainbow magic spell. If you choose, roll two dice. If the die roll is equal to or less than the total of your Magic plus your Craft, gain chromatic. Chromatic is a Spell. You may use chromatic at the start of any Magical Combat. When used, choose one of your attributes to increase by 1. The increase lasts until the monster in the Combat that chromatic was used at the start of has fallen or if you choose to end Combat with that monster. You may not use more than 1 chromatic per Combat.
11 = It is possible to step on the wrong color and go plummeting down to the snowy caverns below. Roll two dice. If the die roll is greater than your Magic, or if you choose, your turn ends and the next turn will begin in The Crystal Caverns; Proceed to that page if so.
12 = A majestic dragon bearing every color of the rainbow is guardian of this many-hued bridge of light. Roll a die. If the die roll is 1, 3, or 5, fight a Magical Combat with a rainbow dragon. If the die roll is 2, 4, or 6, fight a Melee Combat with a rainbow dragon. The rainbow dragon's attributes are Arms: 7, Magic: 7, Craft: 3, Vitae: 4. At the start of any Combat with the rainbow dragon, roll a die. If the die roll is 1, 3, or 5, increase the rainbow dragon's Magic by 1 for that Combat only. If the die roll is 2, 4, or 6, increase the rainbow dragon's Arms by 1 for that Combat only. If the rainbow dragon has fallen due to Combat with you, gain a rainbow crystal, unless you have a rainbow crystal. A rainbow crystal is an Item. If you have the rainbow crystal at the start of any Combat, roll a die. If the die roll is 2, increase your Arms by 1 for that Combat only. If the die roll is 3, increase your Magic by 1 for that Combat only. If the die roll is 4, increase your Craft by 1 for that Combat only. If the die roll is 5, increase your Vitae by 1 for that Combat only. If the die roll is 6, choose one of your attributes to increase by 1 for that Combat only.
Unless you rolled a 7 or 11 and returned to The Crystal Caverns, after your rainbow bridge encounter ends, you must choose between staying on The Rainbow Bridge or going to The Cloud City. If you choose to stay on The Rainbow Bridge, your turn ends and the next turn will begin on The Rainbow Bridge; Stay on this page if so. If you choose to visit The Cloud City, your turn ends and the next turn will begin in The Cloud City; Proceed to that page if so.
